Inspired by the founding of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) in 2006 and Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) in 2008, the Asian Engineering Deans' Summit was created in 2011 to bring together engineering deans in Asia and Pacific cities, and leverage their collective strengths for the advancement of engineering education, research and service to the Asian-Pacific community.
